The Sign of 21 Coptic Christians Beheaded by ISIS on the Libyan Shore

7 The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. 8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. 14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner? 19 Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right. ~ 1 Peter 4:7-19

This passage of scripture makes many points that are speaking to us on many levels, personal and corporate. Some of them relate to the recently reported beheading in Libya. In a season filled with signs, this event and some of the official responses to it speak to Aaron and I as a sign. The combination of signal elements bears testimony about what's coming in a short couple of months, which we have been led to warn about in no uncertain terms.

We're not insensitive to the grief suffered by those loved ones left behind by the victims. Neither are we insensitive to the far, far greater scale of loss pictured by the sign.

The following excerpts are from this article from February 15: Video purports to show IS militants beheading hostages

“The militants had been holding 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians hostage for weeks, all laborers rounded up from the city of Sirte in December and January.

The Coptic Church in a statement called on its followers to have "confidence that their great nation won't rest without retribution for the evil criminals."
...
The video, released Sunday night, depicts several men in orange jumpsuits being led along a beach, each accompanied by a masked militant. The men are made to kneel and one militant, dressed differently that the others, addresses the camera in North American-accented English.

"All crusaders: safety for you will be only wishes, especially if you are fighting us all together. Therefore we will fight you all together," he said. "The sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama Bin Laden's body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood."

The men are then laid face-down and simultaneously beheaded.

The militant speaker then pointed northward across the red-stained waves and said, "We will conquer Rome, by Allah's permission."

In el-Aour, a dusty and impoverished village some 200 kilometers (125 miles) south of Cairo and home to 13 of the hostages, friends and family assumed the worst as soon as the photo was published on Thursday.

On Saturday, two days after the photo appeared, the community was wrapped in sorrow. Men covered their heads with dirt in a sign of both grief and shame. Women slapped their own faces or let out heart-wrenching shrieks of pain.”

If you're not already very familiar with The Open Scroll Blog, this commentary and decoding of the symbols probably won't make much sense, but there is a foundation for what I will state as matters of fact. The number 21 has the meaning of time, the fullness of time, and the end of time. Time was up for those identified as Coptic Christians. To say they were Egyptian would be redundant, because the Coptic Church is the Egyptian Church. I won't presume to know anything about the victims, whether they were actually saints or what their status might have been at the time of their death. The Lord has that matter well in hand and I'm not judging it. As modeling a sign to us, however, I see two levels of truth represented here.

On one hand, they represent the church that is the Bride. Egypt is sometimes a prophetic type of Heaven. We believe the number 21 speaks of the 21st day of the first month on the Lord's calendar, when we expect the Bride to be harvested from the Lord's harvest field that is the Earth. The Bride will pass through death as through the sea. The blood of the slain in Libya was mixed with the sea for the emphasis of the type. The #21 speaks to us of John 21, where Peter leaped from the fishing boat into the sea and swam to the shore, where he met Jesus. That was a death and resurrection scenario. Dead, while in the sea. Alive, when emerging on dry land, in the presence of his Lord. We believe many saints will be martyred in those days soon to come, a Barley Crop who have been made a worthy and acceptable sacrifice.

On the other hand, multitudes of saints will fail to qualify as a worthy sacrifice in that hour, for having soiled robes, having neglected to wash theim in the blood of Christ, for failing to truly take up their crosses and follow Him. In this version of the sign, which is what grieves me in this hour, the Coptic Christians represent the typical Christian, who is “Egyptian” in the sense of professing Christ while worshiping the gods of Egypt, namely the sun god Osiris raised into Horus. As the Bride is taken, 21 - time is up - the saints as drunken and sleeping in the night get a Sign of Jonah, a Midnight Cry wake up call, as they are left behind and cast out with the hypocrites. A wild olive branch, broken off the tree. Time is up for carnal idolatrous Christianity! A great multitude will then wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb, while the rest will fail the love test once more. Coptic Christians, martyred on the shore of the sea.

The naming of the Egyptian goddess Isis in the context is unavoidable, because that's the familiar label of the “Libyan militants.” They do follow the goddess through their rebel acts, and so do “Coptic Christians.” She is the Madonna, Mary.

What was the response of the loved ones?

In el-Aour, a dusty and impoverished village some 200 kilometers (125 miles) south of Cairo and home to 13 of the hostages, friends and family assumed the worst as soon as the photo was published on Thursday. On Saturday, two days after the photo appeared, the community was wrapped in sorrow. Men covered their heads with dirt in a sign of both grief and shame. Women slapped their own faces or let out heart-wrenching shrieks of pain.”

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13

Based only on this report, we see the loved ones, whom we may assume are also Coptic Christians, grieving like the rest who have no hope. There is no celebration that they will be raised first and joined with the living to meed the Lord in the air. The description of el-Aour, which was the home of “hostages” who numbered 13, speaks to us. Code 13. They were beheaded. According to legend, thirteen pieces of dismembered Osiris were scattered on the sea, and were subsequently collected and assembled by Isis. With a substitute phallus, she magically produced Horus.

With an understanding of what is being accomplished by this continuing “terrorist” activity, it is truly a working of Isis bringing forth Horus. Coptic Christians, along with Jews and other innocents are being sacrificed in blood ritual toward that end. The world is being manipulated through leveraging of controlled and opposing forces.

What was the official response of the Coptic Church?

The Coptic Church in a statement called on its followers to have "confidence that their great nation won't rest without retribution for the evil criminals."

By looking to the secular government for justice, it may look to some like they are trusting the Lord to uphold the promise of Romans 13 :4, but really, it's not that at all. At the close of the previous chapter, we read:

19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. 20 “BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. ~ Romans 12:19-21

Verse 20 does not direct us to let the government settle the matter, as God's agent, until the government is satisfied with retribution. Not even close. The Coptic Church response is a carnal flesh response.

What was the official response of the Pope? Here's what he had to say. From Pope Francis Denounces Isis Slaughter: ‘Their Blood Confesses Christ’.

““They were killed simply because they were Christians,” he said.

Francis made reference to the speech that Chalmers had given, in which he spoke of what is happening in the land of Jesus. “The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a witness that cries out to be heard,” the Pope said.

“It makes no difference whether they be Catholics, Orthodox, Copts or Protestants,” the Pope continued. “They are Christians! Their blood is one and the same. Their blood confesses Christ.”

The Pope drew inspiration from this witness to urge Christians to work harder toward unity.

“As we recall these brothers and sisters who were killed only because they confessed Christ,” he said, “I ask that we encourage one another to go forward with this ecumenism that is emboldening us, the ecumenism of blood.”

“The martyrs belong to all Christians,” he said.”

The Vicar of (anti)Christ seized the opportunity to promote the agenda of the goddess to whom he is devoted. Ecumenism - drawing the world together as one. Doesn't anyone see the epic irony there?

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth. ~ Revelation 18:24

Thesis. Antithesis. Synthesis.

  1. Sir, I discovered this blog through the link at the youtube video "Commonwealth Games - Delhi 2010 - Occult Imagery". I myself was research the Clutha/Bin Lorry Accidents bookending 'our own' Games here in Glasgow. The videos answered much and are truly inspired. Please, have a look at my own thoughts at ikidu0.com.
    As for the Beheadings...
I cannot understand, why none of the men make a bolt for it or at least instinctively try and defend themselves, their feet seem free. We are hard-wired to survive. I accept your prophet reasoning and indeed, the whole mess is in doubt Spiritual. But, I believe that there are a whole lot of lies and deception.
Much of ISIS's own rhetoric, ideology would not be swallowed by any thinking person or even a possessor of at least two brain cells, be they Muslim or Whatever...
I pray, that the Lord will not ask such of me, but there may come a time when we have to show that we are worth a proverbial...Even, Peter who denied Christ 3 times in full sentience and association and first hand witness of exactly who Jesus was, was still forgiven!
