The threat of a global pandemic received a lot of attention during the early portion of 2013 fueled by the outbreak of H7N9 in China, the MERS virus in the Middle East, Ebola in Africa, and the constant threat of H5N1 lurking in the background. These issues made for a rather intense period for those of us intently focusing on the threat of a pandemic. However, as the year progressed the pandemic headlines seemed to disappear as quickly as they emerged.
I have noticed that the major threats facing us today seem to be presented to us via the mainstream and alternative news media in cyclical fashion. Economic collapse, pandemic flu, terrorism, looming nuclear war, and other potential global tragredies seem to take their turns at the top of the heap. Regardless of how much ink the pandemic issue is getting in the various forms of media, it is always something the Lord has me focused on and it seems that we are entering into another period when the threat of a global pandemic is getting some serious digital ink again.
The H7N9 virus that captured the world's attention during the early part of 2013 has reared its ugly head again. Some people are claiming this could be the start of the global pandemic with stories of massive quarantines, cover-ups, and other sensational claims. However, I have not been able to verify the majority of these claims which is why I have not yet had anything to say about the matter. We very may well be entering into the beginning of a global pandemic, or it may be delayed for a while longer. Unless and until the Lord shows me about the timing, I simply do not know.
With that being said, there are recent headlines that necessitate an update to the series. I invite you to keep watch with me as the hour grows unimaginably late and time is short.
Bob found this excellent documentary done by the BBC (Bird Flu) - Modern Black Death - The Next Pandemic - BBC Horizon, and while I do not agree with everything presented in the film I do feel it is very well done and strongly recommend watching it. The first 20 minutes contains an excellent segment pertaining to the mutation of the H5N1 virus and the relationship between the severity of lower respiratory tract infections and the transmissibility of upper respiratory infections. It is the combination of the two that will spark the pandemic, which I covered in great detail in Part 3 - A Bioforming Pandemic: Various Diseases Converging to Form Bioweapon?

I would be remiss if I did not include mention of the fact that the H1N1 virus, also known as "Swine Flu", is beginning to get some serious attention in recent days. The H1N1 "Swine Flu" caused major unrest during 2009 and nearly sparked a level 6 Global Pandemic Alert by the WHO which could have initiated martial law, regional quarantines, and mandatory vaccinations.
Thankfully things did not go that far in 2009, but it seems likely that the very same folks who were advancing the vaccination agenda during the outbreak in 2009 are pushing the same vaccination psy-op with the reemergence of the H1N1 virus this season. I believe it is only a matter of time until the world is in the midst of a global pandemic and things such as mandatory vaccinations, travel checkpoints, and quarantines become a reality.
“"In Texas, the rush is on for flu shots. The very flu shots that Texans Dustin Wright, and his wife, Ashley, never received.
Dustin was hit with H1N1 flu strain, or swine flu, and he died Dec. 5.
“You don’t think it will happen to you,” Ashley says.
H1N1 is causing 80 percent of the flu infections this year. It’s the same strain that triggered a nationwide pandemic in 2009. But at that time, it was new. Now, it’s not, and the current flu vaccine offers protection.
“That really is, in terms of prevention and protection, the best method, in terms of reducing transmission or spread of influenza,” Rush University Medical Center physician Alexander Tomich says.”

An alert on Steve Quayle's site last week got me thinking as to the possibility of a release of a low-level viral agent that was severe enough to scare people into buying into the vaccination psy-op message, but not quite severe enough to spark a pandemic.
“Hi Steve, I'm a paramedic in a large southern city. I was remarking to a coworker early this morning about this year's flu season being one
of the harshest in my experience so far. One of the nurses told me
that although they have had thousands come to the hospital with flu
symptoms, they were tested for influenza and tested negative.
It seems this bug is transmitted primarily via droplet contact (cough,
sneeze, etc) and evades the widely available flu test the hospitals
use. It's highly likely that a pandemic is forming (or is already well
under way) and is undetected because the reporting mechanisms the
hospitals use to local health departments and ultimately the CDC are
grossly underestimating the problem.
It's being kept hush-hush in order to avoid panic (I was passed
information by several nurses and doctors who started the intel with
"you didn't hear this from me but...") so preppers and patriots should
heed the warning now.
God Bless”

Whether or not this individual is legit I cannot say, and it is impossible to determine whether or not these illnesses are really the flu or a manmade bioweapon that we are being told is the flu. We only know what "they" tell us, but the fact that folks are testing negative for the flu yet presenting with flu like symptoms and then being told that they did in fact have the flu seems a bit fishy to me. However, with all that they continue to shovel at us I am a bit of a skeptic.
If you find yourself shaking your head at the complexity of this issue you are not alone. What I wrote in September, 2012 still holds true today.
“A couple of nights ago Bob and I were discussing the list of diseases making headlines and how they might be related to the bioforming pandemic we have been watching for. Part of our discussion focused on the overwhelming amount of signaling that has been taking place pertaining to a possible pandemic. "They" have literally signaled everything from A-to-Z, which will make it nearly impossible to trace anything back to the parties responsible in the event a bioweapon is released.
I believe it is important to continue pointing out the various scenarios being signaled, and relaying what it seems the Lord is continuing to bring forth as what is going on really is the world's biggest deal.”

The only thing we can do is to continue to seek the Lord, press in, and get all that He has for us while we still can. He knows the Truth and He is the Truth. He can shine His light through the darkness the enemy depends on and allow us to see through all of the deception and deceit. Whatever our shortcomings He more than makes up for because He is just that good to us!
*****UPDATE***** This article came in from CIDRAP about an hour after I posted the original piece. A very timely addition with the heavy push towards vaccination!
“ Media reports reflect national patterns
Brisk flu activity in the United States is also reflected in news headlines. For example, the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) said today in a statement that more than a dozen adults and children are on life support at its hospitals, with most of them young and otherwise healthy. Many were transferred from other hospitals because of their severe infections, and most are infected with the 2009 H1N1 strain, the statement said.
The rapid uptick in flu prompted the UMHS to issue temporary visitor restrictions, and it urged the state's unvaccinated residents to get their flu shots as soon as possible. UMHS said that although the vaccine doesn't guarantee a person won't get the flu, it greatly reduces the chances.
Lena Napolitano, MD, associate chair for critical care in the University of Michigan department of surgery, said in the statement, "We are seeing the same thing we saw in 2009 and early 2010, with [intensive care units] full of people in their 30s, 40s and 50s who need advanced life support for flu-related illness, except this year, protection has been available since September." She noted that life-threatening lung and kidney problems, as well as septic shock, are among patients' flu complications.
In southern Texas, Hildago County health officials have confirmed six deaths from the 2009 H1N1 virus since Thanksgiving, the Associated Press (AP) reported today. Eduardo Olivarez, chief administrative officer with Hildago County Health and Human Services, told the AP that five of the patients who died were adults, one was a child, and all had underlying medical conditions.
Reports of spikes in 2009 H1N1 activity, which began in a handful of southern states last month, have spurred reminders from federal health officials for the public to get vaccinated and for health providers to review antiviral recommendations, especially for patients at high risk for flu complications.
The CDC has said that although the 2009 H1N1 disease patterns are similar to those seen during the pandemic years, so far there are no signs of changes in the virus, the brisk flu activity isn't surprising at this time of year, and it's not too late for people to be vaccinated. ”
