The spiral is an ancient symbol of the goddess, a.k.a. the Queen of Heaven, Venus, Aphrodite, Isis, Inanna, Hekate (Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess), Circe, Astarte ...
The connection comes via the pattern traced out in the celestial heavens by the planet Venus, because of the numbers generated in making the pattern: 5 (points), 8 (years) and 13 (circuits). These numbers evoke the Fibonacci Sequence (0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21...), which geometrically presents the spiral of life.

The two spotlights shine down on this star, forming two overlapping circles. This signals two things that both identify her as the goddess. She is inside the overlapping figure, which is known as the vesica pisces, a classic symbol of the divine feminine. These two circles can be described as crossing circles, and notated as OX. See the spiral as the "Spiral Dance" traced out by Venus, which has the hidden pentacle. This symbol typically adorns the altar when magic ceremonies are conducted. The woman with the baton is "conducting" a magic ritual as the "Great Goddess" of The Spiral Dance. She is the High Priestess who has cast a magic circle. The role played by the photographer characters is to invoke the goddess who grants all desires.
It has to do with the flashbulbs. With the context of magic that has been well established, a significant kind that was practiced on the spiral stage was promoted by Aleister Crowley.
The influential Occultist, Kenneth Grant, recorded the following insight about the union of the X and O in a book published in 1992, titled, "Aleister Crowley and The Hidden God."

While this probably sounds absurd to those of you who are new to this kind of thing, there are plenty of examples that substantiate this! The flashing of the old-fashioned camera flashbulbs accomplished all that Kenneth Grant expressed in his book about the lightnings controlled and harnessed by the one who reigns over the Abyss, with regard to the goddess and with regard to what must be seen as the implicit union of the O and X. Yes, the ancient mark of the beast resonates with the 666 evocation of the musical note characters!
ALL NATIONS, deceived by the sorcery of the Whore of Babylon, receive the mark of the beast.
Again, what can we learn about the purpose/intention of this spell that was cast out into the universe?
The meaning of this scene builds upon and extends what has already been explained. Something falls from heaven and makes everyone look like it. But, WHAT? Two things that deal with genetics - one of our ancient past and one of our near future.
While the High Priestess conducted her magic ritual, three tubes of paint are seen hovering above the magic circle spiral (recall the cone of power). The blue and red and yellow paint tubes open and pour their contents out. HINT! There is an assist by the 666-evoking notes in connecting this outpouring from heaven with the earth. Crowds of brightly colored characters enter the stage along four paths and mix together with the sorceress and the notes in a highly energetic celebration.
Alrighty then. Four paths or winds or corners? Here's a quick assessment by Gemini 3 AI.

Expanding on the end of this performance on the spiral stage, the 4 paths represent the 4 cardinal directions the casting of a magic circle is aligned with, and the 4 related elements of air, fire, water, earth, with the implied fifth, being spirit.
On the deeper level of magic being performed, there are two things artistically and ritually pictured that deal with genetics - one of our ancient past and one of our near future. Revealing our near future, we see ALL NATIONS being deceived by the sorcery of the Whore of Babylon and receiving the mark of the beast. Revealing our ancient past, we see ALL NATIONS (excepting Noah, who was with his family on the ark through the purging of all others) transformed along with the earth itself through corruption including genetics. It may well be said that there's a third occasion of genetic corruption, if we take it back to Cain (hybrid offspring of Eve and the Nachash) and the mark of Cain.
How do we know? Here's some key insights and passages of scripture that guide our interpretation with consistency and clarity. Follow this presentation all the way through.
The Olympic ceremonial performance is overtly celebrating Italy's history, including that of Rome and the Roman Empire. A passage from the 2nd chapter of Daniel describes a fourth kingdom that is interpreted by most biblical scholars as the Roman Empire. Verse 43 is of special interest!
40 Then there will be a fourth kingdom as strong as iron; inasmuch as iron crushes and shatters all things, so, like iron that breaks in pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces. 41 In that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have in it the toughness of iron, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with common clay. 42 As the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle. 43 And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, THEY WILL COMBINE WITH ONE ANOTHER IN THE SEED OF MEN; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery. ~ Daniel 2:40-43
They (iron) will combine with one another in the seed of men (clay). The seed of men, that's genetic! Combining with one another, that's genetic. This is identified with the Roman Empire which, to this very day, is still a thing, even the Holy Roman Empire that's linked to the Vatican in Rome. This genetic modification and merging business is a DNA thing. This happened a long time ago, prompting the flood of Noah's day. It's beginning to happen now, preliminary to the implementation of the mark of the beast!
Back to the ceremonial ritual symbolism.
The three paint colors are familiar to me, which I have decoded in many posts to the Blog over many years.
Blue = heavenly sons of god
Red = earthly daughters of men
Yellow = Angel-Starlight
Eventually, the spiral magic circle stage is colored blue, red, and yellow, the colors of the paint. The performers in their costumes are also blue, red and yellow, and the combinations of these three.
blue + red = purple
blue + yellow = green
red + yellow = orange
This costuming illustrates the genetic mixture of the color-coded beings who "combine with one another in the seed of men." One meaning of the word, Babylon is mixture. This pictures a Babylon of the Biblical text.

This situation that led to the purging flood is a subject of a book referenced in the book of Jude. From this, we can learn much about the symbolism of the Milan Olympic's Opening Ceremony. Consider where this knowledge of magic and all kinds of colored dyes came from.

Here's what I see in this theatrical segment. What descends from heaven are the Watchers, the sons of god, the fallen angels. They are represented by the
Blue (heavenly sons of god), Red (earthly daughters of men), and Yellow (Angel-Starlight) paint. Their union is described as that of the sons of god with the daughters of men, the blue and red, respectively. The starlight yellow is representative of their divine heritage. The union produces hybrid offspring with three strand or triple helix DNA.
I believe those who receive the mark of the beast will have a strand of the beast DNA woven into their double-helix DNA. I see the image of this replication of the beast across the population of the world in the spiral of life of the stage when it lights up with the three colors, and with the 666-evoking note(18+18+18 and 18) characters forming a triskelion at the center of the spiral.
37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. ~ Matthew 24:37-39
As this performance reaches a creshendo, the energy raised inside the magic circle is at its peak, and the energy raised in the cone of power must have been released out into the universe at the casting of the spell. This is not the musings of a man with an over-active imagination. Ask any former witch, who has repented and been set free in Christ.
Look at all the power cone hats! The witches are enjoying their ritual as they celebrate merging with their gods!

I kept finding myself wondering what kind of paint the tubes would have contained. I felt like it mattered, given the nature of the ritual featuring it. While the stage props must have used some kind of fabric, the symbolic contents would have been oil paints because pure olive oil (or ointment) has conventionally been used for anointing.
