Decoding Angry Orchard

Angry Orchard Hard Cider. Why is the orchard angry? Here's their commercial, with threatening symbolism that has a very relevant story to tell.

(update 11/2/21) We revisited this with some enhancements more than seven years after first sharing our insights about this commercial and branding. Again we ask the question, Why is the orchard angry? It's an allegory! The Orchard is the Garden of Eden, and the angry old tree is the Nachash, linked to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The "Cinnful Apple" of their Fall Haul makes it plain!

The apple with a bite being taken with a crunching sound is a symbol of the forbidden fruit being eaten by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The orchard is the Garden of Eden. The dangerous gnarly old apple tree is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which is associated with the Nachash, the serpent.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5 For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings. ~ Genesis 3:1-7

Search the blog for apple crunch and you'll see how the sin in the garden was celebrated in London at the Paralympics in 2012, during the closing ceremony that was titled, Illumination. Apple Computers has the same scheme, connecting the apple with a bite out of it with illumination.

Is that tree and those branching trees of that Garden-Orchard angry? Yes!

8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14 The Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this,
Cursed are you more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you will go,
And dust you will eat
All the days of your life;
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
~ Genesis 3:8-15

The apple has seed in it, so it represents his seed. This is why a bite is taken out of the apple in the commercial, and that bite is immediately followed by "branch out." That's what happened in the garden because of what happened when Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. She became enlightened and she conceived, later bearing Cain. (Who is Cain's Father?)

The logo features the name of Ra (Re), aka Helios, Apollo, Horus.

Why is the orchard angry?

For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” ~ Revelation 12:12

Does the Devil know his time is short? No, not yet. But he will, soon enough.

The second Psalm describes the angry orchard.

The trees of that kind intend to follow through on what began in the Garden of Eden. The plot to replace man who was still in the Creator's image was nearly complete when the great flood of Noah's day purged his orchard from the face of the earth.

21 All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; 22 of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. 23 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark. ~ Genesis 7:21-23

He's bent on revenge for that action, intending a counter-flood. Coming soon!

  1. Great post, Bob, and thank you for your vigilance towards the exciting times ahead! Each day I can't help but wonder what the Lord will reveal in this ongoing spiritual battle.

    Regarding your post, it seems to me that the missing piece of the AO apple does not look like a first bite from the apples I've eaten. Theirs appears to have been eaten from top to bottom rather than side to side. Also, the marks from the "teeth" do not look like they would be human and the mouth is wider too.

    Keep blowing the shofar, brother!

  2. Hello Bob; Interesting article. Did you notice the subtle, albeit very male, buttocks imagery in the apples glossy surface? Very obvious in my opinion especially having the words "hard cider" below..... a very very homosexual image
